CULTURES

Hey people!

I haven’t been able to write in a long time because of my sickness but here I am again :).

Today’s topic is culture. We all come from different cultures according to the country that we are from and our family roots.

I myself see multiple different cultures every day because I live in a city with a lot of different cultures. Even at home we are a mix of several cultures. It is really fun and exciting but sometimes it is a serious struggle.
You might have awkward situations because you don’t have the same native language in common or you have a different non-verbal communication or...

But we easily judge others for doing things differently than us. People, please stop judging!
There is no point in judging something that isn’t wrong. It’s just different.
Instead of judging you should be happy that you got the opportunity to learn more about a new culture.
And instead of being scared to face new cultures, see it as a way to learn more about people and the world that God created.

ALSO everyone was created by God our father. So even if our cultures are different, we still have the same father and are one family because of Him.

So let’s love each other and appreciate each others cultures!

The Bible

Hey there!

I hope you’re doing good!
Today’s topic is The Bible. Let’s get into it!

First of all I want to tell you that the bible is not just some sort of old historic book with some stories from the past but the bible is actually a book of wisdom and teachings. It’s a way that God uses to communicate to us.

So why do we read the bible?
- It has rules and tips for our life: these rules God has given to us not to harm and annoy us, but to keep us secure and help us. Like parents give rules to their kids so that their kids will be amazing, smart, well-behaving people as adults. God is that kind of parent too.
- It’s a way to get to know God and understand His ways more.
- It’s a way to understand what God wants this world to be.
- It’s a way for God to show us what He has planned for our lives.
- It has examples for us: other christians that go trough similar stuff as us.

So with the bible God communicates with us very often.
Trough the bible we are also able to minister to others because the bible is the word of God. We can show people the word of God so that they can see a proof on the words that we speak to them.

Here is God’s communication model wich might be helpful...:

Plans

Hi there!

Today’s topic is ”Plans”. We all make plans, big ones or small ones. Now as Christians we always need to involve God in our plans.
Let’s discuss this topic with some bible verses.

These two verses basically say the same: we plan but God will establish our steps.

You have probably heard people say that you need to surrender everything to God and He will lead you, He has a plan for you,...
This is so true! But it doesn’t mean that we can’t plan anything in our hearts. You might have ideas what you want to do. You might have plans. That’s okey! You don’t need to stop planning BUT God will show you if those plans are according to His plan or not. That is exactly what the word ‚establish‘ means (=to get proof of something).
That’s why you need to surrender to God and let Him be in „control“ of you and let Him guide you. His plans are perfect and everyone wants a perfect plan ;).

Sometimes, like in this verse, people might want to „kill“ our plan. They might push you in another direction, press you from every side, persecute you,... but if your plan has been established by God then those people (or things) will never be able to „kill/destroy“ that plan. Your plan is secure trough God!

Have a blessed week!

From rich to richest!

Hello!!!

I have a new spot in the bible that I would like to discuss. Here we go!

Read Luke 18:18-30

In this verse a rich man asks Jesus what he must do to inherit eternal life.
So in this case (in the bible) eternal life means that you will go to heaven and have an eternal life there.

Jesus answers the question with 2 main points:
1) follow the commandments that God has given
2) sell everything and then follow Him (Jesus)

Now the first (1) point is quite clear. But the second (2) point might be a little hard to understand. Jesus tells the man to sell everything, wich means all his material stuff. For us that sounds horrible to live with ‚nothing‘. I don’t think God wants us to live without anything, or as we would say „in a poor way“. But with this passage He means that He wants us to surrender to Him, to really follow Him without worrying about our material stuff and without putting a lot of worth in them. Often we are so focused on all the material things that we forget God, we forget to surrender to Him and spend time with him.
He wants us to live for Him and He wants to be our richness. So that we wouldn’t count our material stuff and then say „I‘m rich when I have this and this and this“.

=> so all in all God wants us to remember His commandments, surrender to Him everyday, live for Him and have our richness in Him.

Have a blessed week!

Chosen with grace

Hi there!

I have some bibleverses that I want to share.
Let’s start ;)

What this verse says is actually super clear: God CHOSE you! Not because you were more special than someone else but because He loves you so much that he wanted you for this thing He has for you.
God has chosen everyone for something! When you pray and ask God to show you for what He chose you, He will! Maybe not right away but at his perfect timing. If you think you are not chosen for anything, then you are 100% wrong! So believe you are chosen!!!

You don’t need to do anything for God to choose you! He chose you before you were even born.
But somehow we still all think that we need to prove to God that we are able to fulfill his purpose for us.
This is a lie. We don’t need to prove anything. God chose us because he already knew that we will be able to do that task. He also knew that we will fail sometimes. That’s why he gave us GRACE.

=> So remember that you have a purpose and that you are perfect for that task. You don’t need to prove it anymore because you already have God’s approval since the day you were born.

Have a blessed week!!!

Religion vs Relationship

Hey guys!

I hope your 2018 started well :)

Let’s get right away to the point.
Many of you have probably heard this statement: „I hate religion but love relationship“ (relationship in the meaning of a relationship with God) or something like that. Well I have heard this like so many times!
Personally I don’t really like it. So today I’m going to explain this.

People say this because often when we think of religion, we think of rules, regulations and maybe even „old“ stuff. But that isn’t the truth. Religion, in this case  christianity, is actually based on a relationship to God that we have in wich God grants us grace when we are not able to keep his rules (because we are human). There still are rules (even in the relationship) that we need to keep. They are not to harm us or annoy us but simply to make our lives easier (/to take care of us).
So you can’t divide religion and relationship.
In order to call yourself a „true“ christian you need to have that relationship with God.
It doesn’t matter if you are Catholic, Protestant, Lutheran, Evangelical,... we are all christians and need that personal relationship to God. It doesn’t matter what other differences we have in our believes.

This brings us to my next point. We are often so strong in our own believes that we forget that every christian is equal. You can be catholic or protestant but the base stays always the same: you need a relationship to God.
We often look at all those details and even try to change peoples minds just because we forget the most important. Isn’t that a little crazy? It’s like celling a cake but only giving the plate.
What we need to do is to embrace that relationship and not so much the religion that we believe in.
But we still can’t divide them from each other. Because as soon as you have that relationship you are automatically a christian!

Here are some verses for you:
•Revelation 3:20•
•1 Timothy 5:4•
•James 1:27•

Have a blessed weekend!!!
