UPDATES AND HAIRSTYLING

Helloo people!

I haven’t blogged in like so long... sory for that but I have just been extremely tired because of my sickness. Anyway let’s start :)

Have you ever felt like you have done something in the same way for too long? Well if you haven’t (and even if you have) then read this post!
Ones in a while we get this notification on our phone that says „There is a new update available. Do you want to update right away?“. When this comes most people hesitate a while but in the end most of us choose to update because we know that if we don’t update we will end up using a program that is old and doesn’t have new, helpful, exciting features.
Now why do we hesitate?
Because we are not sure about what is going to happen. We are scared to take a risk and we are scared to have a „failed“ update on our phones. This is why some people don’t want to update at all. But then they’ll just have to live with the old version.

In real life it is basically quite similar. There will be times when we need to change. We need to move with the time. For example in your work you need to keep updated with what is going on in the world or in your church you need to let the younger generations also have a say in things. Often people hesitate with new stuff, new people or new sircumstances because they are scared that the old ones were better but what they don’t realise is that they are losing a change to make things better. It doesn’t mean that everything will change and that nothing can be done in the old way. No! What it means is that you let new things (/people) influence you, your circumstances and your matters. In this way you will not lose anything but only gain new ways, new ideas, new people.

Sometimes we need to cut the ends of our hair so that it can grow better again. What I mean with this is, that sometimes you need to stop a way of life/stop something and cut it off so that something fresh and good can start growing/happening. This can be something big or something little but you need to do this sometimes.

But then again sometimes you need to fix (/style) the hair. For example if you have run trough rain then you need to dry it again. With this I mean that you need to fix things you are doing wrong. You can’t only stop them and cut them off but sometimes you need to fix them again. Because you might have a good idea of how you do something but the way you do it has become old fashioned or you have lost the essential of your idea. For example if you are working as a teacher and you realise that you have been too strict with your students for the past few months then you fix it by starting to be a little less strict. It doesn’t mean you need to quit your job (you don’t need to cut your hair!) but you need to fix what you are doing wrong (you need to style your hair again).

I understand that change is difficult sometimes and you need courage for it but with God this is all possible :)

COMPASSION

Easter, easter, easter,...

Jeej, it’s that time again! But what is even greater is the story behind it.
Jesus came to the earth, to our level, just to die for our sins so that we may have eternal life. Who would do that for us except Jesus?
Many of you have probably heard this thing so many times. But it stays (and it always will stay) amazing!!!

But today let‘s look at it a little differently than the classical „easter surmon“ :)

So Jesus came to this earth. He left the most amazing place where He had everything that you could possibly imagine, where He was „royal“ and everything was perfect. He left that place to come to earth so that we could have eternal life. He lowered himself to our level  and took our mistakes so that we could live, so that we could see the splender that he has (=> heaven). Jesus showed such great compassion that it’s just stunning!

Now in our lives we can take an example from Jesus.
Everyone has people around them that need help or atleast need someone that listens to them.
But we are so selfcentered. Often we don’t even see that others are going through ruff times because we are so focused on our own little (daily) things like what will we wear, eat, do or how we feel, how we can be the most confortable and stuff like that. But they are so unnecesary. We should rather put our focus on people in need. Focus on how you can help people, how you can show compassion to people around you. It doesn‘t need to be big: sometimes a small message or just a kind word will change someones day completely. You can show compassion even by just listening to them and focussing for a while on their need.

Here I have some little tips for you guys that might help:
-„Lower“ yourself to their level. So I mean understand how the person feels in their situation so that you may help them better
-Speak kind words and encourage them but not by making their problem „worthless“.
-You can ask them if they need help. They might not necessarily need anything else than kind words and someone to talk to but still give them the oppertunity to ask for help.

=>So now while you reflect on what Jesus did on the cross 2000 years ago, also think about what you can do to share that love that you get from God.
Show compassion to others like Jesus showed compassion to us and share His compassion with the world!

LOVE

Heeyyy!!!

Hope you’re doing all fine!

Todays topic is love. There are different ways where love is used so let me clarify about what love we’re going to talk: love between friends and godly love.

First of all „godly love“. God loves us soooo much! You can’t even imagine how much.
Sometimes (or well let’s say often) we wonder why He loves us since we are sinners and far away from perfect. He loves us because He created us, because He is our father.
And you might think that okey He loves me but how since I don’t always love Him back?
We ask this question because we only look with a „worldly“ perspective: love others but if they don’t love you back, you don’t need to love them anymore.
But that’s not who God is! He loves us because He does not depend on our love. And if we love God and have a relationship with God then He will give us the love we need so that we are not depending on the love we get from the world. This brings us to love between friends.
=> relationship with God -> love that overflows -> you don’t depend on the love of people around you -> you will be able to love everyone

Now with the love you have from God you can start working for God by loving people who need love.
And don’t say okey I will love people and then just love the ones you want to love. NO, love everyone and especially those who are in deep need. Because Jesus also died for everyone!

When you love people you will not only be giving them love but also help. And because you took the time to help them they will be able to figure themselves out too. They will get to know who they really are and the hope that God has given us.
And also remember that this work you do by just loving is also a way to serve God.

One last thing! The people you help might never tell you in person how much your love helped them. But don’t let that discourage you because that’s just another sneaky way from the devil so that you would stop spreading Gods love!

Here are still some bible verses to this topic:
John 13:34
1 John 4:11
1 John 3:23
(There are many more verses about this. I just listed a few of them)

Be blesses this week!!!
